Day 12

Selamat Pagi – Good morning

DSC_2894

This is our last full day at the camp, and we almost regret to leave already tomorrow morning. We are very grateful  that we are able to accompany God’s servant on this mission to Indonesia, because it did something very special for us. The character of Christ that we have seen in the lives of the believers here will leave a lasting impression in our lives. It’s such a lovely atmosphere and we know that the Angel of the Lord is in our midst and that there are angels all around us.

Like every morning real early there is a lot of activity around here, but I marvel about the order and respect the believers have for one another. It takes a godly ministry to produce such a people.

We see the sisters working so unselfishly in the kitchen. They cannot participate in the services, neither do they have any monitors or loudspeakers to listen to the services. But I believe with all my heart that God will give them their portion, that they have need of.

When I see the young sisters doing the dishes, cutting the vegetables, cleaning and serving, it reminds me of the story Brother Branham tells in one of my favorite messages The Sudden Secret Going Away Of The Church preached in 1958, where the ranch boss’s son comes from Chicago looking for a wife, because he was sick and tired of the city girls. He was looking for character. And he found the character in the little girl, who was working in the background, doing humbly the dishes. She didn’t mind doing that, sweeping, cleaning or what more. Our prophet said, that it is character that God looks at, not just earthly character, but Holy Spirit character. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

Our precious Sister Engel Oktoviana Sandra Hattu is the chef in the kitchen during these days.DSC_2934DSC_2546

Sister Engel plans all the meals and they serve every day a different tasty dish and provides lots of local delicious fruits and different other little snacks.

Of course, we are all enjoying the strong Sumatra coffee and the special made green tea, the fresh made fruit juices and the coconut based meat dishes. Even the presentation of the meals is amazing. It is incredible to see what can be accomplished with so little! Look what He’s made out of nothing…

Many sisters are helping in the kitchen day in, day out, and others keep the fires burning throughout the night.

They cook about 60 kg rice every day, which is the basic food here in Indonesia.

These godly women fulfill the scripture of Proverbs 31:10-31:
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
2She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

Very early in the morning, we see the brothers bringing the provisions for the day in a wheelbarrow.

When I look at this natural food laying there and what delicious meal will be prepared from it, I am also thinking of the spiritual food of 1200 precious tapes laying there, and it takes a skillful master builder to put a fresh meal together, that provides the vitamins and minerals for what the Body needs in this time and season.

The fires are burning all night and since the rising of the sun the water is boiling to cook the rice for the day, and to provide hot water for coffee and tea.DSC_2729

The services today are dedicated to the young people, who are so fervent to serve the Lord with everything they have. It’s a rare thing in our days to see young people on fire for God. They look so clean and are full of joy.

They definitely have a repellent against the enemy, the vaccine of the Seventh Seal.

They sing at the beginning of the service with such great conviction:

Our generation will keep the faith

Our generation will show the way

Our trust is firm, our hope is strong

By grace we plan to carry on

We take the gospel to every nation

We’ve planned our all

for what God has called our generation

DSC_2774

This generation knows that prayer is more powerful than the atomic bomb. They believe in a true relationship with God, believe to walk in the Word, operate in the Word, that no matter where they are, they are connected with the Eternal; living in a supernatural atmosphere. It’s not church attendance but coming into the realities of what God has promised for this day.

Brother Vin speaks about: The Power Of An Established Church, with the subject:  Being Established In The Present Truth, and he takes the Scriptures from 2. Chronicles 20:20 ‘Believe in the Lord your God so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.’ And from 2.Peter 1:10 ‘Wherefore the rather, Brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.’

DSC_2777

“You are not under human influence, and you are not just coming to church. He has called you and you made your election and calling sure. Always remember, He said ‘You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you.’ You must know the purpose why He has called you. When you find your calling, then you abide in it. We’ll get challenges along the way, but always remember, it is His calling.”

The young people are encouraged by the Word and they understand, that God allows tests and trials in their lives, and they might even think everything is going wrong. But God is shaking them so that the roots go deeper and that they become rooted and grounded and established in the present truth.DSC_2835

What you behold is what you are changed into.

What a confirmation of the Word, when 6 precious souls are being baptized at the end of the service. DSC_2901IMG_8511DSC_2902DSC_2911DSC_2910DSC_2906

For the evening service we gather again in the sanctuary where several brothers give their testimonies.
