Day 2
Only somebody truly can appreciate a good night’s rest who has experienced almost total exhaustion. The brothers didn’t have sufficient rest for a few days now, where they were able to sleep uninterrupted. But everybody is doing great this morning and we are enjoying a nice German breakfast together; Brother Sergey and his wife Sister Elena have lived about 10 years in Germany before the Lord led them to move to Moscow.
Besides the rich natural food the spiritual food is even more amazing. After sharing some testimonies, the fellowship is about “overcoming self will, and then the will of others, so God can do His will through a person.”
Brother Vin brings many examples from the Bible and the Message, and how important it is for a person to really empty out his own will and lean not to his own understanding, before God can truly have the preeminence. How it’s weakening the church when man is failing to see the oneness of unity that should be in the body. Each person has their assignment, but many haven’t found their place yet. Lean Not To Your Own Understanding and Leadership are the very key messages for a ministry.
People have 1200 tapes in their hands, and if they don’t turn them to the right angle, they are missing a lot.
This afternoon gives us a couple hours of rest and we meet again at 6 p.m. for supper, which, of course, includes fellowship around the Word.
We should leave at around 8 p.m. for our flight to Novokuznetsk/Siberia, but are forgetting time and realm and it’s almost 9 p.m. when we realize the time has passed. Very quick we are getting our luggage ready and are heading to the domestic airport of Moscow, just 10 minutes’ drive from Brother Sergey’s home.
In spite of long line-ups and security at every turn, we just make it in time to the gate.
We are supposed to arrive Saturday early in the morning at 6:50 a.m. Here we have another time difference of 4 hours; with other words, this night is as long or as short as the flight, 4 hours.
