DAY 2 – HOLLAND

DAY 2 – ROTTERDAM, HOLLAND

June 16th, 2018

We wake up to a bright and sunny day and Brother Harry and his precious wife Sister Annie join us for breakfast in the hotel, where we make plans for sightseeing to drive to the North Sea. More brothers and sisters arrive and we are driving about 2 hours, spending the day in fellowship and sharing the testimonies of Gods amazing grace.

Brother Harry with two of his lovely granddaughters, Elyse and Jamie, who are such a great help and encouragement during our stay to all of us.

We see these typical modern “windmills”  all along the coastline, which provide energy for the country.

Ready for boarding!

Land Ahoi!

Sharing memories!

We are now our way to visit the famous and master-mind engineered Oesterscheldebarrier, the one and only dam and surge barrier, designed  to keep the Netherlands from flooding from the North Sea. The construction was done in response to the widespread damaged loss of life due to the North Sea Flood of 1953. It’s a remarkable feat of hydraulic engineering, which took more than 30 years of construction and invested billions of guilders.
