Europe Day 1 – HOLLAND

DAY 1 – FRANKFURT, GERMANY/ROTTERDAM, HOLLAND

June 15th, 2018

GOTT SEGNE EUCH – GOD BLESS YOU

After about 16 hours of travelling from Port of Spain/Trinidad through Miami/USA, Brother Vin and the brothers arrive in Frankfurt/Germany early morning June 15th.

From here we start our journey westward to Holland, driving for about 2.5 hours on the famous German “Autobahn” and for another 2 hours in Holland – mostly countryside – to Rotterdam.

Only the different languages on traffic signs and landscapes typical for a country would tell where you are, because for some years now all the borders in Europe have been removed, where people had to wait for hours to cross from one country into the next, often connected with obtaining visas.

Just minutes before we arrive at our destination for this weekend in Ridderkerk/Rotterdam we receive a text from Brother Jan, one of the deacons of Pastor Harry van der Stel’s church, that they expect Brother Vin to preach at 8 p.m. in their evening service tonight. What? That was not even in the plan and it’s already past 7 p.m. and it would give us only 30 minutes to check into our rooms, quickly refresh and jump back into the car. Because of the love Brother Vin has for Gods servant and his little flock here, he agrees and we are not even in our rooms yet, when Brother Harry comes running into the hotel lobby.

Two battle-scared warriors of the gospel are meeting after so many years.

We are witnessing tonight the manifestation of the Scripture of being instant in season and out of season, disregarding all circumstances and stand up to the cause. Brother Vin is on his feet without sleep for 2 days now, but the love of God constrains him to speak to the people, interpreted by Brother Stefano, who is like many of the attending believers here from Surinam, a former Dutch Colony on the Atlantic coast of South America.

The believers are in great expectations and we can feel the presence of the Lord when we enter this place. And God certainly is meeting the expectations tonight; what a service and inspiration! It proofs again that when a servant of God can get out of the way, then God takes over.

Brother Vin mentions that Brother Harry Van der Stel not only opened the doors to his church but also to his heart and he is so glad that God preserved him so well. He also comments on the faithful saints here in this assembly, who stand with the ministry, time-tested memorials and what a great compliment it is to a ministry like this.

In this age of technology, the world has been united and people can be influenced so easy today. But in the midst of all this deception and confusion there is a Bride as a witness, holding the standard of the Word higher than ever before.

After the service we meet with the believers for some refreshments and although extremely tired, we have a wonderful time, feeling a kindred and welcoming spirit among the people here.

Brother Art takes us to the printing operation downstairs, where they print books and so far about 500 messages of the prophet have been translated and printed into Dutch.

This little church here is totally committed to the great cause and challenge of this hour and we feel very blessed to witness these things.
