Day 1 – KIGALI/RWANDA/AFRICA

DAY 1 – Kigali/Rwanda

November 29th/30th, 2017

By God’s grace we all arrived in one piece in Kigali today. Besides the fact, that our bodies are a bit exhausted, we can feel the joy and excitement in the air, that the Lord is allowing us at this time of our earthly journey to be here to support the ministry and serve the believers in this big city of Kigali, which is the modern capital and largest city of Rwanda with more than 1 million people. The main language here is Kinyarwanda and French.

When we get outside the airport, the saints who traveled through Brazil and Johannesburg have arrived a little earlier and they are patiently waiting for us together with the gracious Host pastor from Kigali, Brother Balinda Rwigamba,  Pastor Pumzile from South Africa and Brother Andrew Makokha from Nairobi, who is a tremendous help to us throughout the entire journey. We also meet Pastor Malachi Musawa the first time, who is originally from Congo, and he is working here in Kigali, supporting also in the upcoming convention.

While driving the short distance to the appointed Guest House, we can see, that the city is scattered over several hills, and our first impression is, that everything is spotless clean and meticulously taken care of.

After prayer and assignments to our rooms, we gather in the dining room for a little meal and refreshments, and we are trying to stay awake and wait for the last group of believers, who took the route through New York and Dubai to arrive around 3 a.m. While they had a stop in New York, Brother Miguel Angel Perez, who is also closely connected to Pastor Ever in Chiclayo/Peru, was very instrumental in the transit of the believers, and he and his family were a tremendous blessing and help in taking care of them. He is a very special brother in this strategic alliance in the hour when the great commission is being fulfilled.

The chefs, Brother Didier and Brother Emmanuel are serving us every day with such joy and welcoming spirits; they are a real blessing and make our stay so comfortable.

Pastor Pumzile Mehlala from Queenstown, South Africa, has already joined the saints in Johannesburg and by God’s grace will be with us all the way. When I asked him, how he came across Brother Vin’s ministry, he told me, that many years ago some believers shared the music from Third Exodus with him, and he recognized that there must be a certain ministry to produce these songs. In his heart he was always crying for more of this Word. While over time he got more of the songs from Third Exodus Assembly, his desire grew to meet the ministry behind the music. In 2011 he heard that Brother Vin was in South Africa, but he was not able to attend the meetings at that time, and he streamed all the services on the internet.

Beginning of this year, one of his pastor friends told him that Brother Vin might be coming to Africa and through Brother Beckett in Cape Town he got in contact with Brother Vin, who invited him to join us on this journey. It’s a blessing to be around his quiet, humble spirit.

This first day here is a day of rest and adjustment for everybody and we have wonderful fellowship during the day.
