Departure Constitucion/Santiago de Chile
August 15th, 2016
Day 13
The time of our departure to Santiago has come. It is always very hard to leave parts of the Body, but we know that one of these days soon we will meet again and speak one language. One last song before we leave:
The bus drive from here to Santiago takes about 4 hours and when we stop along the way at a gas station, the sun is shining bright and warming the place. How much more we appreciate the warmth of the spring sun now after being in the cold and rain for the last four days!
When we pull into the parking lot at Pastor Peralta’s church in Santiago we are overwhelmed by the greeting of the people. The children have welcome signs and cheering for everybody who steps out of the bus. The saints expect us with such great joy and have a real nice good-bye lunch prepared for us, knowing that we are all returning back home tomorrow.
Each visiting believer is presented with a special framed picture from Chile and little bookmarks.
Some brothers are bringing their typical Chilean music instruments out and start playing real special Andean music, which you can see and hear on the little video clip here. Enjoy!
It takes a while until we have said good-bye to everybody before we are taken for the last night to our respective host families.
Concluding I want to say, that this trip to Chile was an incredible blessing to us, because of the tremendous services, the marvellous times of fellowship and the genuine hospitality in every place we have visited. We truly have seen the love of Jesus Christ on display.
