DAY 26 – Testimony Sister Mercy Mumo

DAY 26 – Mbale/West Kenya

December 25th, 2017

My name is Mercy Mumo and I am 21 years old. I received the Message together with part of my family in 2005, and was baptized in 2007, but only because some of my friends got baptized. At that time it was not real to me, and because of the influence of friends I kept backsliding for many years, and after coming to myself I returned to the Lord and was baptized again this year in September.

I got very sick in November. It started with a small stomach ache; I was treated and all was well. I woke up that same night at around 3 a.m. and my whole body was in pain. I was in the boarding school of the Medical College at that time. They gave me sleeping pills, but the pain in the stomach and in the legs were terrible. It got so bad, that they rushed me to the hospital, where I got pain killers and they started to investigate and took tests, but they couldn’t find the cause. At that time the pain was all the way from the waist down to the legs. I was told to wait for another MRI test. Eventually they discharged me without knowing what the problem was. Moving for me was very painful, but because they couldn’t find anything, they sent me back to the boarding school.

I was discharged on a Saturday, and the next day the pain was spreading to the lower back and the left arm from my elbow upwards. The school thought this was a problem and called my parents to take me home and I stayed for two days at home with a lot of pain. I finally went again to the hospital, because the pain had become unbearable. They repeated the tests again, and found nothing. By that time I couldn’t move at all. I stayed for almost 3 weeks in the hospital and nobody could find anything. Nothing and nobody helped.

Because they couldn’t find anything, they were planning to discharge me on Saturday, when the convention with Brother Vin in Nairobi started. On Friday they were suggesting for me to go for Physiotherapy to see if I could walk. I went there, and something like an attack came on me, where my whole body got stiff, starting from the legs all the way up. They all got scared now, and took me immediately back to the ward. In the ward now I got another attack, until I was screaming in pain. The nurses didn’t know what to do. My hands started now to get stiff, too, and I was thinking, that now I was going to die.

At that time my mother was attending the convention, and I had told her, if she doesn’t come with a minister to pray for me, she wouldn’t have to come at all. After the service on Monday that’s when the ministers came and prayed. I still had frequent attacks. Brother Ken told me, I would be well by tomorrow, and I said, it has to stop and happen today, I can’t wait till tomorrow. I had a lot of faith and after confession and repenting, I was able to stand up, took one step, a second step, and all of a sudden all the pain was gone. I didn’t feel any pain at all, and I was running all over the place for joy.

There were three other women with me in the room, and when they realized what happened, they wanted now to be prayed for too, and we phoned Brother Simon and asked him, to come back to pray for the others. And shortly after that two ministers came and after ministering about God’s only provided way and the greater healing of the soul, there was such a faith in the room, and immediately after they prayed, the woman next to me, her name is also Mercy, was jumping around, screaming. She was paralyzed at her feet because of a wrong treatment in the hospital, and she couldn’t walk at all for a very long time. The Lord touched her and now she was immediately healed.

The next day as I was waiting for my discharge from the hospital, and when I came to the room, the room was empty, all the other women had already gone home, also healed. It is a great miracle!

When I reached home, that very moment the attack came like never before, and it took a long time till 2 a.m. in the morning, that’s when the attack left me. The next whole day it was attack after attack from morning to evening, all the time. I went to the hospital again, that was on Wednesday. They gave me Shock-therapy. They tried to do everything. Nothing helped. They send me home again.

When I was on our way home, something comforted me. The next day when I woke up, I decided I have to stay strong now in faith, and I started to clean the house and everything, not much pain that day. At this point I decided now to come to this convention here in Mbale, and made arrangements with Brother Simon to get transport with the other believers to the convention.

The next day I was on my way and had taken a taxi-motorbike, which is a common transport here, to meet up with the believers. The road was clear, not many cars, and all of a sudden, I found myself bleeding on the ground; I honestly don’t know what happened, how I got in that accident, my clothes was torn and I was bleeding all over, people gathered around me, and wanted me to go to the hospital, but I said, I am not going back to the hospital. And after they insisted, I told them, that I am a doctor myself, and they finally stopped talking. I was determined to get up and go the convention. I went into a building somewhere there, cleaned myself up, changed my clothes and somehow made it to the group, who was waiting for me in the bus to get to the convention.

And now I am here at the convention and I am so happy that I came, and I am completely healed! Thank God for His mercy and grace!
