DAY 20 – NAIROBI/Kenya

DAY 20 – Nairobi/Kenya

December 19th, 2017

While most of the brothers are present at the Minister’s Meeting today, us sisters exploring downtown Nairobi, and we have a real blast.

We are 12 sisters and decide to take public transportation today. Sister Rebekah, Brother Andrew Makakho’s wife, tells me while the bus is snailing through heavy traffic, that Brother Wycliff has twice a week a television channel and that many of the believers in their assembly came through this ministry. He and other brothers spoke several times on a Radio channel as well. There are about 1200 people in their assembly. During the meetings I observed how the people listened so attentively, although they are not used to such long services, and I admired especially the mothers with their little ones.

Sister Mercy Kiambi is also part of our little adventure today, and we all have real nice fellowship, while the bus is making it’s way through very dense traffic.

Nairobi is like the America of Kenya; all Western things are available here. Big modern buildings are a normal sight, but the traffic is truly a great challenge.

We decide to look for an African craft shop and buy some gifts to bring back home. Besides the interesting carvings, shawls and fabrics they sell, most of the fun is in the bargaining and we really get some of the prices down to more than half.
