DAY 12 – BUKAVU/CONGO
December 11, 2017
Mapamboli- Blessings
It’s a great time that God allowed us to be on the face of the earth; in one of the most deceiving ages there ever was. The believers here in the Congo might be poor in earthly goods, but they are rich in faith and in every service the response to the Word was tremendous.
Today we get a little bit of rest, and Sister Brigitte Kasambi Kambale from Pastor Oswald’s church invited us for lunch to her house. Her husband had suddenly passed away in September, but her grief didn’t hinder her to invite us, and we are grateful for such a refreshing.
Because of the beautiful view from her home, we take the opportunity for some photos.
Brother Vin thanks Sister Brigitte for opening her home to us and preparing such a great meal. She showed such great hospitality, and he compares her with the woman of faith in the Bible, just like Sarah and Abraham, like Mary and Martha, and the widow of Zarephath. Brother Vin comforts her that she soon will see her husband again, because marriage is made in heaven; they are eternal mates. The Lord Jesus loves us with His unconditional love and nothing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord. A true mate is eternal.
“We have been received here so well. And today we give back something spiritual, words in songs for comfort and encouragement from the Lord, the songs of praise, because we see you in the Bible, come to your home. You treated us like royalty, and we carry these memories. And we can show our people in church, we found another one just like the widow of Zarephath.”
This is a gathering time, we are very close to the translation. May the Lord bless this home and all her family.”
Brother Vin connects these words also to the wedding anniversary of our Brother Oswald and his precious wife.
“Once we are in Christ we can never come back out of Him. So we dedicate the marriage of our Brother Oswald and his precious wife. Eternal union is for all eternity. This is a great thing of being in Christ. That’s the first institution in Genesis. The Bible opens and ends with marriage. It’s a inseparable union.”
Brother David Dayal and Sister Ruth Weeks are singing a love song. Brother Vin ends this little gathering by saying:
“Once again we express our sincere gratitude, and the time of our departure is drawing nigh. These times are appointed by God. Some of us are here and our wives are in the other lands. And we cannot communicate with them. And we feel the love that we carry in our hearts that binds us together. The bride is an eternal people, and this great faith, this is why we are here. This is the day of the rapture, the hour that we will be gathered for eternity as we have appeared among you all, many never seen us before, but you know that there are brethren around the world, and we have you all in our hearts and we know that we are in your hearts also, because we are all the children of God and we experience the love and fellowship, the unity, and God has done this.
God has made us a beautiful people by His love and salvation, and I want to express this, even so we go, we take you in our hearts. We might never meet in this life again; when that trumpet sounds and we see each other young, and we talk about the times we had together, and pray for each other. We lift up each other. What God has done in these days, has brought us close in your hearts. That gives us strength and encouragement when we see other believers running this race with patience.”
Brother Simon prays a prayer of thanksgiving, and asking God to keep us all in His love, to give us perseverance. There are still obstacles in the way, but it is grace that brought us safe this far and grace will bring us home.
Till we meet….
While some of the brothers are leaving for the minister’s meeting this afternoon, Sister Brigitte calls us sisters into her living room, where she presents each one of us with a piece of beautiful African fabric.
The Lord has blessed us to meet with believers of like precious faith and wherever we meet the Seed of God, there is the same spirit and harmony. That by itself is a tremendous blessing.
